SL44: It is a sweet, juicy and thin - stemmed variety applicable for cultivation of whole Punjab during kharif season under irrigated condition. Gives Average yield of 240 qtl/acre.
SL 45 (2022)(Single cut): It is a late maturing single cut cultivar with tall (297cm) plants and long, broad leaves. It has a juicy and sweet stem. Red leaf spot resistance is high, and zonate leaf spot resistance is modest. It has a higher nutritional quality, particularly in terms of crude protein and dry matter digestibility in vitro. It produces 271 quintals of green fodder per acre.
Punjab Sudax: Hybrid of sorghum. Plants are tall with long broad leaves. Stem are sweet and juicy. Timely sown crop gives three cutting. It is resistant to red leaf spot disease. Gives average yield of 480 qtl/acre.
Punjab Sudax Chari 4 (2015) (multi cut): It is a forage sorghum hybrid with many cuts. After 60 days of seeding, the plants are tall with broad leaves and ready for the first cut. Leaf spots and shoot fly resistance is moderate. Three healthy cuttings result from the punctually sown crop, which yields 445 quintals of green feed per acre.
